• COBOL Programmer / Analyst - Bloomington, MN

Wilson-McShane Corporation, a third party administrator for Taft-Hartley benefit funds, has an opening for a full time Entry Level Programmer with experience in COBOL 74, WFL, CANDE in a Unisys A-series/DMS II environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Consults with supervisor, team members, and end users to gather program specifications including requirements, functionality, and features.
  • Creates programs according to specifications from supervisor, team members, and end users.
  • Writes and maintains program, process, and systems documentation.
  • Designs and creates user interface screens, reports, and system interfaces.
  • Maintains and modifies existing programs as necessary to implement corrections, modifications, and/or enhancements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

• Medical Claims Adjuster - Bloomington, MN

Wilson-McShane Corporation, a third party administrator for Taft-Hartley Benefit Funds, is seeking a full charge (M-F, 8-5) Claims Adjuster.

PEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Processes medical and short-term disability claims.
  • Answers high volume telephone calls from participants and providers with benefit questions.
  • Meets with participants on a regular basis to answer benefit questions.
  • Follow all HIPAA compliance guidelines to ensure protection of participant protected health information.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years medical claims paying experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Summary Plan Description and procedure manuals.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Quick learner of other computer applications.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

Wilson-McShane Corporation, a third party administrator for Taft-Hartley benefit funds, is seeking a Project Manager.

Summary: Consult with internal customers, IT management and staff and vendors throughout the project life cycle to ensure critical changes and updates to systems are completed


Duties:

  • Develop, coordinate, and support plans for new client implementations and other projects
  • Provide administrative and analytical support on projects
  • Develop and maintain project documentation
  • Liaison with business, technology and external parties
  • Develop moderately complex queries and reports
  • Assist in the creation of detailed design specifications
  • Assist in requirements gathering
  • Assist in the testing of technical solutions
  • Other duties as assigned

 

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:

  • Strong Word, Excel, and Outlook skills required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Duties:

  • Lead the analysis and development of business requirements.
  • Translate high level objectives provided by leadership into functional requirements.
  • Research and document functional requirements from multiple sources.
  • Coordinate and communicate evolving requirements through complete project life cycle.
  • Participate in the prioritization of business requirements throughout the entire project life cycle by working with the business partners and development teams.
  • Serve on projects teams and contribute to the development of project work plans.
  • Document future state business and system needs using appropriate tools/processes.
  • Participate in the review of test plans to validate new processes and systems to meet business requirements.
  • Manage cross functional testing initiatives comprised of key people from the various business units.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing.
  • Responsible for collecting, organizing, interpreting and analyzing data from a wide range of existing data sources.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and decision support analysis as needed.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of query writing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access.
